Surgery Gone Awry

I remember last time the youtube video that caused not just a stir in the medical world. It made patients realize that they are not that safe in the hands of their doctors because they can just do anything while you are sedated and lying in the operating room.

That event happened in a Cebu hospital that involved a gay. This guy had been playing with himself and when things got too heated, he stuck a canister inside his bum hole and it got stuck. Despite what he did, the thing remained in there and so he was brought to the hospital.

He was sedated and the canister was removed. But that was not the end of the story. The operation was successful, however, the whole scenario was captured on celphone video and was spread virally through youtube. And the bad thing was that, the video was proof that the operating room was crowded at that time with different doctors and nurses who were having a field day over this person's unfortunate happening. They were all laughing and talking about how silly the situation is while the patient is being operated on.

It was really bad. I wonder what happened to the case. The patient lodged a complaint against the doctors and the hospital but I wonder if the case prospered.
