Some Gossip

I recently learned that a neighbor of ours who had been a practicing lawyer for more than a decade had been disbarred.

I was really surprised because he seemed like a good lawyer. It turned out that he maneuvered a contract so that he will end up with the property of his client who is a foreigner here in the Philippines. It seems that it was named to him because he is the legal citizen and in the end, he swindled his client.

But since he was proven guilty, he was disbarred. He should be thankful that he wasn't sent to jail. It is just a pity because he is only in his 40s and he could have gone a long way if he only worked as a lawyer.

He could become a good Personal Injury lawyer Portland where he could defend the rights of people who had been hurt and need to make claims. But instead, he used his knowledge of the law for unlawful gain. So I guess that just serves him right for swindling his innocent client.
